The Park Cities have some of the most desireable real estate in the Dallas area.
Sales were up 41 percent vs. last year with 515 sales recorded.
The average sales price was $1,081,000 up 3 percent vs. last year.
The average days on market was 119 days, an increase of 9% vs. last year.
This sales increase is a huge turnaround for higher priced homes in the Dallas area!

The Dallas Area has had fairly stable prices throughout the recession. There was no real estate "bubble" in this area.
Highland Park and University Park are in the center of Dallas and have their own schools and police force. This real estate is historically considered by many to be the most valuable in the area. The average price for a home is about $1,000,000. Condos and Townhomes start at about $350,000.

There are other great cities that you can search. Plano and Frisco are excellent suburbs with average prices of about $250,000.
